Deborah Mitford's, the Dowager Duchess of Devonshire riding boots elegantly holding court in one of the 297 rooms at Chatsworth House.
As the matron of one of the most important historic homes in England, Debo as she was often called  transformed the Chatsworth Estate into a thriving enterprise with her own unique style and personality. The neoclassical palace, located in the peak district of Derbyshire has a farm shop, hotel/restaurant and holds agricultural shows/equestrian events that were initiated by her before she passed away at the ripe age of 94.
These riding soles have been well preserved. They stand gracefully like the late Chatelaine of the house once did.
