Curator Thierry Guillet discovered these soles in a tiny shop in Paris during the mid nineties when he was working for Yohji Yamamoto.

Made in France by Jesuit monks he found these sandals quite similar in design and simplicity to the ones Diane Vreeland described in her memoirs D.V. as the "Perfect Sandals"

These days he wears them everyday in his home like slippers.

"I can attest that after all these years they have remained the sandals of a lifetime"
